Wildlife Vaasa 2008

The animation "Vanten" (Glove) that children produced with me at the kindergarten where we started animateing participated in Wildlife Vaasa festival. It was shown on the big screen and was among the five best in the category Film made by children. Vanten was the last animation I made with children at this kindergarten. I hope they will carry on and let chidren make animations under years to come.



Letting children animate and explore different kinds of media is something I always will do. And hopefully soon there will be two kindergartens in Vaasa that takes advantage of the benefits and joy in makeing animations and explore different kinds of medias.

It is always fun to doe something more with the films ore animations that are produced. This is an animation that participated in events in different countries.

Shorter version

The animation is Award Winning and putting Vaasa on the map as a city with modern ways and knowledge. The children that made this animation was at the time age of five and six. Children and the process of making animations are learning by doing experiences that inspires to try different alternatives.
